Support Musicians during COVID-19

Tax deductible
My name is Suhel Keswani and I am a jazz guitarist. In 2019, Kenny Burrell, a jazz guitar icon and one of my biggest inspirations, was facing financial struggles fueled by ongoing medical expenses, identity theft, and litigation with the home owners association, despite Burrell's work as a professor in UCLA's Herb Alpert School of Music. As a result, his wife, Katherine Burrell, created a gofundme page which raised $250,000. Fortunately, the Burrell's were able to overcome this hardship.

Unfortunately, most jazz musicians are not as widely renowned as Burrell and do not receive the financial assistance they need during hardships. Especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic, many musicians are facing financial burdens and struggle to put food on the table as their gigs and events which financially support them have been cancelled. That's why I'm raising money for the Jazz Foundation of America's COVID-19 Musicians' Emergency Fund, which assists musicians with housing, medical care, disaster relief, and direct financial support.
