በቦስተን የደብረ ሰላም ቅዱስ ሚካኤል የኢትዮጵያ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን አገልጋይ የነበሩት ሊቀ መዘምራን ቀሲስ ግርማ አዳነ (ወልደ ሰማዕት) ሐምሌ 16 ቀን 2016 ዓ.ም በድንገት አርፈዋል፤፤ ይህም በቦስትን እና አካባቢው ለምንገኝ ካህናት፤ የሰበካ ጉባኤ አባላት እና ምእመናን እጅግ አስደንጋጭ እና መሪር ሃዘን ነው፤፤
ሊቀ መዘምራን ቀሲስ ግርማ አዳነ ደብራችንን በቅዳሴ፤ ዝማሬ፤ ስብከት እና ትምህርት ያገለገሉ ሲሆን የ37 ዓመት ጎልማሳ፤ ባለትዳር እና የ 6 ወር ህፃን አባት ነበሩ፤፤ የደብራችን ሰበካ ጉባኤም አስከሬናቸውን ወደ ሃገር ቤት በክብር ለመሸኘት፤ የሃገር ቤት የቀብር ስነ ስርአት ማስፈፀሚያ ወጭዎችን ለማገዝ እና ቤተሰቦቹን በገንዘብ ለመደገፍ ይህንን ጎፈንድሚ ከፍቷል፤፤ ይህንን የጎፈንድሚ አካውንት ሊቀ ትጉሃን ቀሲስ ይስሃቅ አለሙ እንዲያስተዳድሩት ከቀሲስ ግርማ ባለቤት ወ/ሮ ቤተልሄም በኩል ውክልና የተሰጣቸው መሆኑን ልናሳውቅ እንወዳለን።
በመሆኑም ምእመናን የቻላችሁትን ሁሉ ድጋፍ እንድታደርጉ በትህትና ስንጠይቅ የተሰበሰበው ገንዘብም ሙሉ በሙሉ እላይ ለተጠቀሱት ጉዳዮች ማስፈፀሚያ ብቻ የሚውል መሆኑን ልናሳውቅ እንወዳለን፤፤ እንዲሁም ተጨማሪ መረጃ ከፈለጉ ይህንን ጉዳይ እንዲያስተባብር የተመረጠውን ኮሚቴ ሰብሳቢ እና ፀሃፊ በሚከተሉት አድራሻዎች ማግኘት ይችላሉ፤፤

Dear Children of God,
It is with great sorrow that we inform you of the sudden passing of our beloved Singer and Priest, Girma Adane (Wolde Semayat), from the Debre Salam Saint Michael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Boston. He departed from us on July 23, 2024, at the age of 37. His unexpected loss has been a profound shock and a source of deep sorrow for all our priests, parish councils, and parishioners in the Boston area.
Singer and Priest Girma Adane served our church through his participation in liturgies, singing, sermons, and teachings. He leaves behind a wife and a 6-month-old baby. In light of this tragic event, our congregation has established a GoFundMe account to:
- Honorably return his body to his home country, Ethiopia.
- Cover funeral and burial service related expenses.
- Provide financial support to his family in Ethiopia.
We kindly request your generous donations to help cover these expenses and support his family in Ethiopia during this difficult time. All funds raised will be used exclusively for the purposes mentioned above.
