Tuam to Wuhan Charity Spin Cycle

Coral Leisure Tuam are joining forces with Galway Bay FM to bring to you a much needed fundraiser to help feed the frontline workers.

Feedtheheroes.com helps feed the brave healthcare employes helping the fight against Covid-19 and we have decided to do our bit to help this worthy charity and their fantastic work.

Eight Coral Leisure Tuam gym instructors will get on spin bikes from their homes and cycle the total distance from Tuam to Wuhan,China over a total of 13 days.

All eight participants will cycle a total of
3 x 1 hour shifts every day and they will rotate this cycle 24 hours a day until the full distance of 9,176km is completed, which is forecast to be about 13 days.

There will be a Go Fund Me page set up and we will be asking people to donate €5 max or whatever they can spare up to a max of €5, and each €5 donated is another meal for a frontline healthcare worker. Details on the link will follow on both our Instagram and Facebook pages.

The event will be explained further on Keith Finnegan's Show tomorrow morning,Thursday and launched officially on Mollie and Ollie's show on Friday morning at 8.40am.

At a time when there is nothing but bad news and hardship amongst people during this Lockdown, this cycle will not only raise much needed funds but will also lift spirits and hope amongst people that we will defeat Covid-19 and if we all join forces and adhere to guidelines, then some sort of normality can resume sooner rather then later.
