Tucker Needs Your Help for Surgery

Hi friends,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy heart to ask for help for my dog, Tucker, who needs bilateral ACL surgery (both legs) or known as bilateral TPLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy) surgery. He’s been through so much already, and now we’re facing yet another challenge. Any support you can provide would mean the world to us.

Tucker came into my life from a shelter in Helena, Arkansas, after being abandoned. The shelter was shut down due to abuse and neglect and the director was charged with 285 counts of animal cruelty. He had to fight through, several, incredibly tough situations. He battled parvo as a puppy (viral illness that can be fatal, especially with puppies), had a belly button hernia repaired twice, fought through heartworm treatment and last year, he was diagnosed with spondylosis deformans (degenerative arthritis of the spine) but even with that, he’s remained an amazing, loving and resilient companion.

Despite all of this, he’s only 4 years old and is still full of love, energy, and determination. Now, he’s facing another big hurdle: two torn ACLs (CCLs) After talking with Dr. Macpherson at Rutland Veterinary Clinic, we learned that he’s still a healthy candidate for surgery with a success rate of 95-98%. It’s our best shot at giving him a pain-free life, but the surgery and recovery costs are more than I can manage on my own.

Tucker turns 5 on April 2nd, and I want him to have many more years of happiness, play, and walks ahead. He’s been through so much already, and I want to do everything I can to help him live his best life.
