Tucson Clay Co-op Dream Clay Studio
Donation protected
I am the director of the Tucson Clay Co-op. In September 2021, my son and I purchased a 5700 square foot property on 1/2 an acre. It is a dream come true.
Our new property has so much potential. But it is a fixer upper.
Our dream is for the Tucson Clay Co-op to become Arizona's major clay center, with famous guest clay artists doing week-long workshops. We are a fully equipped pottery with 4 electric kilns but look forward to adding gas and wood kilns. Our members have been working in our new studio since November 2021.
Thanks to your help we have been able to redo the plumbing and the roof. We now need to install a new swamp cooler in our Northeast room as well as insulate the ceiling. We have the brick to build a Cone 10 reduction gas kiln, but need money to install a cement pad, & run the gas lines etc. LOL everything takes more money than anticipated.
In the past we have been self sufficient by selling our collectively thrown pots, but this is more than we can earn. We hope you can help us make our dream come true. Even the smallest donation will help us reach our goals.
If you have time, I would be happy to give you a tour of our new studio, gallery and gardens.
As always, many thanks for your continued support.
with blessings,
Maxine
