Sheba - 12 year old rescue German Shepherd cross Doberman

I’m trying to raise funds to help with Sheba’s vet bill which is higher than the limit on the credit card I currently have for her

I would also like to point out that she did always have insurance however, having only ever needing the vets twice (spaying & conjunctivitis) I thought rather than paying insurance premiums and never claiming, just to get a credit card for such emergencies with a decent limit but the limit is just not high enough in this instance.

She became very poorly last Wednesday after contracting HGE and ended up being admitted to the animal hospital where she has remained since and it was touch and go for a while

Her white blood count and protein levels dropped dangerously low as well as her being extremely dehydrated and having to cope with profuse haemorrhagic diarrhoea.

Due to her been 12, all of this was very dangerous for her.

She had to have a tube inserted into her stomach so she could be tube fed as well as having an IV to administer fluids and medication. (Opioids and antibiotics)

She has now started to eat very small amounts of solid food after nearly a week of refusing anything which is a massive milestone and has now had the feeding tube removed and may be allowed home tomorrow where I will continue with the medication and hourly feeds.
