Enzi & Leel's Tuition for Community Coaching Cert.
UPDATE: Community came through so strong for Enzi that it inspired all kinds of excitement every which way!! Thank you, family!
Inspired by what has already been made possible, Jahleel (Leel) Arcani is another Black transgender community member who is ready to commit to skill-building, healing, and community through Leslie Avant-Brown's Conductors Community Coaching Certification program.
Enzi would love to have a Black trans colleague in the virtual cohort with him. Leslie would love to support #BlackTransMagic in this way. Leel is eager to commit, if we can help with tuition support.
Our challenge is to come through with a deeper investment. How can you support this dream? Will you give again? Will you invite someone to join with you in supporting Leel? Will you share the news through social media and word of mouth?
Please help us water this seed so it can continue to grow, to blossom, to fully bloom.
ORIGINAL POST:
I want to tell you about two people I love--and ask you to help me help them to work together!
Leslie Avant-Brown is the owner-entrepeneur behind Blooming Willow Coaching and the Conductors Community Coaching Certification program. I was blessed to be in her initial cohort of community coaches through Leadership That Works and love her approach to coaching as healing work FOR THE COMMUNITY, not just for individuals who can pay for individual coaching.
Meanwhile, Enzi Tanner is a Black transgender Jew based in Minneapolis. I've know Enzi for more than a decade and we have seen each other through many life changes. He previously served on the board of Transfaith. He is a contributor to OtherWise Christian 2: Stories of Resistance. Most recently, I wrote about his work on a mutual aid project for Black transgender people in Minneapolis during the current uprising. He has a deep commitment to both community and accessibility.
I'm super excited about Enzi deciding to pursue community coaching with Leslie because I know Leslie provides tools and credentials that will help Enzi to be even better prepared to serve his community with accessible healing resources.
Will you join with me by investing in these two Black community leaders?
Coaching assumes the community already knows what is best. The role of the coach is not to come in with magical external knowledge and insight, but to help the community manifest it's own wisdom.
Will you plant a seed with me to support Black and Transgender and Jewish and Disabled and Minneapolis communities?
I think of Enzi as a super-spreader of sorts. He is connected to several communities that I want to support. He is not only connected to individuals who also live at some of those same intersections, but he is immersed in each one of these larger communities in important ways.
The certification process is virtual and has a payment plan, but it is an intensive offering. The tuition of $5,500 is not a lot for the hours of contact time, but it is a lot for Enzi.
Enzi is not currently working (think about what you know about Minneapolis right now), so we want to help him raise funds to cover this cost (to compensate Leslie and her trainers) and get him enrolled in this training for the fall.
Will you join us by making a contribution now?
Chris
