Tuk-Tuk Racing through India for Charity

Last year, three women—an Australian, a Latvian, and a German—walked into a bar in Albania. This sounds like the start of a joke, right? Well, here's the punchline:

These three women decided to sign up for a Tuk Tuk Race, traveling from Kerala in southern India all the way to Jaisalmer near the Pakistan border. With no mechanical skills, minimal knowledge of traveling in India, and zero experience driving those three-wheeled, glorified lawnmowers through wild traffic, they are setting out on an adventure spanning over 2,482 km!

We are about to embark on this incredible journey across the length of India in a humble tuk-tuk, and we could really use your support! As we take on this wild road trip, we're also committed to making a positive impact.

Here's where you come in: your contributions have the power to shape our expedition in truly unique ways. Anyone who donates will have the chance to suggest challenges for us to tackle while we're navigating India. You can even submit design requests for our trusty tuk-tuk or suggest a cool name for it.

From the money we raise, the first $1000 will be dedicated to Cool Earth. Cool Earth is helping to fight the climate crisis that currently exists, they do this by protecting the best carbon-storing technology: rainforest, which we are rapidly destroying. They work alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction. This is an organisation affiliated with The Rickshaw Run.

The next $1000 will be donated to Sea Shepherd, supporting their crucial work in defending, conserving, and protecting our oceans. Whilst the three of us are from different countries we have all seen firsthand the damage caused to our oceans on our travels and this charity is close to all of our hearts.

Anything over $2000 will be used for our 'breakdown fund', helping us overcome any physical (or mental) challenges that may arise during our adventure and for us to give to the local communities we will be traveling through in rural India.
