Tulsa Co Sheriff's Dept EXCESSIVE FORCE on MINOR
Donation protected
This money is being raised for someone I've yet to actually meet.
At the Tulsa State Fair in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a MINOR made a few mistakes. As is almost a right of passage, they made the decision to drink at the fair, like countless other teens in attendance.
While details are still fully emerging for what exactly occurred prior to this, we did witness the scene long enough to be worried enough I shouted to my husband to begin filming.
The cop held the minors head down with his left hand, while swinging on him with his right. You can see the guy's hair fly when he gets hit, then basically falls unconscious for a few moments. He then finds the need to hold his knee down on the minor's neck, unnecessarily. You can see in the video his arms were already pinned. The cops could care less as we screamed for them to at least check the kid.
While mostly okay, the minor went to the dentist today. His jaw is still so swollen, they couldn't yet see the damage. Not to mention, the emotional trauma this caused.
Not only could the family use help for their medical bills, they could also use assistance with legal fees. It won't be cheap to press charges on the TCSO.
The TCSO is using the defense that there were racial slurs made.. Should that not have made TCSO think it best for a white cop to handle the situation? Instead, a black cop was allowed to take out his personal anger from the comment, on the minor.
I was informed today, the minor was taken to St Francis, then let go, without charges. Imagine that. I think they were waiting to see if anything was going to be done by those filming. We tried to tell TCSO that night, this wasn't going to away without a fight. A legal, civil one.
Watch the news as this story develops. Please share, and if you feel inclined and capable, please donate.
Something should be done. We should be able to turn to police, not fear them.
