Tumor removal surgery for our sweet rescue

A few weeks ago, driving down a busy North Carolina highway, my friend Allison almost hit this sweet stray dog that was trying to cross the road. She looked terrified and malnourished and kept running back into the road, so Allison rescued her and brought her back home to DC. This sweet dog is older (7), extremely friendly, and has no chip.

After a trip to the vet, her initial bill of health was clean, but she has some significant health issues from being left outside for so long and likely spending her years in a neglectful environment. Allison found out she has two mammary tumors on her stomach that have a 50/50 chance of being cancerous and a few teeth that need to be pulled to prevent further infections. Both of these procedures are necessary and crucial to her health, but they are extremely expensive and will cost her $2,000. Paying for regular vet visits and shots was taken care of by her last week (and will continue to be), but the added expenses of the surgeries are very high.

I'm fundraising for Allison and her sweet rescue pup so that she can get help covering the cost of these surgeries while she is in the process of moving to a new state and switching jobs. This dog has been through so much and deserves to live out her final years in a happy, loving home with Allison. Our goal is for her to be healthy and happy for the rest of her time here.
