Help 4 Talented Students Compete Abroad!

Donation protected
We are thrilled to announce that Makai Fisher-Horton, Sophia Hurt, George Moravec, and Jabari Woodson—students of Dr. Jasmine Pigott’s Peabody Preparatory low brass studio—have been selected to compete in the International Tuba-Euphonium Conference’s Young Artist competitions in Valencia, Spain, in June 2025!

Out of 43 competitors from around the world, only nine students from the United States were chosen—and four of them are from our studio! Sophia (11th grade) and George (10th grade) will compete in the euphonium division, while Makai (10th grade) and Jabari (11th grade) will compete in the tuba division.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for these young musicians to showcase their talent on an international stage, connect with world-class artists, and take a major step toward their future careers in music.

However, they can’t do it alone. With limited institutional funding, we need to raise money to cover travel, instrument travel, lodging, competition fees, and meals. Our goal is to raise at least $15,000 to cover the costs for all four students and a chaperone.

Your support will help these incredible students turn this dream into a reality. Every donation—no matter the size—brings them one step closer to representing the U.S. on a global stage.

If you believe in the power of music, in investing in young artists, and in the importance of representation in classical music, please consider donating and sharing this campaign.

Thank you for being part of their journey!
