Tunnel Fire Burns Home of the Cooper Family
Donation protected
On Tuesday, April 19, 2022, the Tunnel Fire roared and was fueled by wind and lack of precipitation through our Doney Park community causing over 25 houses to burn (possibly more). The Tunnel Fire has burned over 6,000 acres of land 14 miles north of Flagstaff. Our dear friend Trevor Cooper and his family are one of the unfortunate families to find their home is completely gone from this fire. Trevor was out of town for his National Guard drill training when he learned the news of his home being consumed by the fire.
The pictures of his home show that he and his family will need to rebuild his home and replace all their belongings completely. They will need to replace their clothes, shoes, household items, find a place to live, and not mention that Trevor is a very active outdoor guy who loves to spend time with his kids and show them all about life! His garage, camping gear, and hobbies he loves are all gone.
Trevor recently retired from the Flagstaff Police Department and has started his new chapter in life. He continues to be part of the Army National Guard as a Pilot. However, he still was not ready to stop serving his community. Trevor is one who will go out and protect our Country and us but now it is time for us to help him and give back to him.
Please consider donating to help Trevor rebuild his home and purchase everyday items. We, as a community, will help our neighbors rebuild after the Tunnel Fire is done. Prayers for all families who are impacted by this fire.
