Turkey Earthquake Fund for Children

The images and stories that we continue to receive from Turkey are gut-wrenching. As I’m sure many of you know, the massive 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey and Northern Syria yesterday was centered just 10 miles away from my childhood home of Gaziantep, Turkey. The loss and destruction are almost inconceivable and we continue to pray for all affected.

While there will be a proper time to mourn the thousands of people who lost their lives – at this very moment we are compelled to act to meet the URGENT NEEDS of the countless survivors who now lack shelter and basic human needs such as water, bread, baby formula, diapers, and blankets – as residents must also deal with the sub-freezing temperatures of winter.

Our hearts have been touched by the incredible outpouring of support and prayers from so many of you, and most of you are already asking us “HOW CAN I HELP?”

Using the network of commercial trucks our family business has at its disposal, we will be purchasing and DIRECTLY DISTRIBUTING blankets, bread, water, baby formula and diapers to meet the urgent needs of the community members of Gaziantep and neighboring communities. Your generous donations and 100% of the funds generated through this Gofundme campaign will help support our efforts to meet those needs. Pearl Crop will match up to $250,000 in additional donations to help kids affected. This plan is already in place and trucks are already starting to go out with these items.
