Green Home is a Social Enterprise operating in Northern Uganda. We imagine a world where the streets and streams are no longer littered with plastic waste and where money not only covers subsistence, but dreams alike.

Green Home produces traditional home eco-building materials by utilizing plastic waste normally found cluttering the streets and other different landfills with the engagement of street children and marginalized women.

Vision: A world free from plastic waste, where individuals thrive beyond subsistence.

In order for the supply to match this growth, the improved technology needed for melting plastics waste in an environmentally friendly manner and for mixing our proprietary formula must be sourced. Thus, this is where we need you, handy

Objectives:

1. Boost production by 800%

2. Reduce costs by 80%

3. Eliminate plastic waste burning externalities

4. Collect 300,000kgs of plastic waste in the first 12months

5. Support 100 vulnerable waste pickers i.e., street children and marginalized women

6. Create internships and employment for 20 individuals

7. Proving our concept works by building a house with eco-blocks produced from plastic waste at our recycling site.
