Turning the tide for The Wulkans

Friends and Family,
It's so heavy-hearted I reach out to you like this. Your thoughts and prayers during this catastrophic event mean so much to us. We are overwhelmed.
For those that didn't know, our home was in Bokeelia on Pine Island at the ground zero epicenter of Hurricane Ian when it came on land at a Category 5. The above video of Matlacha, the bridge to get onto the island, was washed away along with most of the village. The island is uninhabitable and all residents are forced to vacate the life we once loved.
The last five years have been a dedication of service to the community, whether through our recording studio, Farmadelica Sound, Lainie as President of the Holistic Chamber of Commerce for Fort Myers and Cape Coral, creating meditations with local talents for In2uitive Wisdom Records or teaching people the beautiful connection of wellness through The Food Healing Oracle Deck.®
In an instant...it was gone. Our businesses, our home, our island. The amount of loss doesn't have a figure when considering the recording studio and Food Healing inventory. We have a long road ahead in our journey.
Next steps:
1) Getting on the island to survey what salvageable items we can get.
2) Finding a way to take what we can, including finding our cat, Geordie.
3) Determining where we will stay, short, long term and permanently.
4) Start a brand new business and leave all we've created behind.
We've applied for FEMA support, but don't know when and how much. Since we lost personal and two businesses, it's a large nut to crack.
None of this is overnight. We're wrought with shock and grief for ourselves and our fellow islanders who also lost everything.
We'll leave so much behind and have to repurchase all new stock, inventory, equipment and personal items after determining where we go next. Poof, life has irrevocably changed.
Your support will help us get there, anywhere, somewhere.
If you feel called and thank you to those who have reached out, please help us at this most jarring and unprecedented moment that is too raw to still comprehend after experiencing one of the most terrifying times of our lives during the hurricane itself.
Bless you. Thank you. We love you! Pray for us.
Lainie, Howard, Oliver, Miss T and hopefully Geordie.
PS For those who didn't know, we had to put Cookie to sleep last Saturday before the hurricane came because she was too ill to go on. Thank God she didn't have to experience Ian's wrath. We haven't had a second even to mourn her.
