Prosthetic Limb

Hi my name is Stephen and I'm a dad of 6, I'm reaching out for people's support, this would help me get a prosthetic arm that can enable me to live my life to the fullest.

Sepsis took my arm after a series of operations that tried to save it failed, it all started with just a scratch and went from there, I have nearly died from sepsis 3 times and the toll it has had on my life has been terrible from having my hand and arm swell up on my right arm to having multiple organ failure, nearly dying three times, losing my right forearm due to compartment syndrome, forearm muscle removal,  various grafts, having my right elbow joint removed to have it fused, and a metal cage attached, to having recurrent infection because of the cage, then to end up having to get my right arm amputated  all from june 2017 till the 25th may 2022 has been a hard road to go down and then be given the ultimatum, see your kids again by losing your arm or keeping it and not go home,  it wasnt a hard option to choose from, the end result has been a massive shock,  i didnt know what to expect and now i face a longer and more difficult one for the rest of my life,  i am choosing to get a private prosthetic because i was told that the type of arm i require isn't readily available on the nhs, i was told this by a prosthetist from WestMarc, who are the the specialist service who work out of the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow who deal with artificial limbs.

I know with everything happening just now in the country and the strain its having on people's lives and finances, i understand that not everyone is able to afford to donate but even sharing so others might donate is better than doing nothing at all, all im asking is that if you can donate please do so as every little helps to get me a step closer to my target and getting a prosthetic limb.   all donations will be greatly appreciated and the prosthetic will help me get back to normal, the total funds raised will be used to purchase a prosthetic arm that will be made with a working hand so I can live a normal life again. I can't do any of the hobbies or pastimes i was able to do before losing my arm, my youngest son is disabled,  highly autistic and doesn't understand what's happened or why i can't do things with him anymore, i just want to have the chance to do things with him again, and without a prosthetic im afraid i can't, not only will this  arm allow me to be a full on dad to him again but it would enable me to provide for my family. Family is everything to me.
