This campaign is for 11-year old Payton Upton from Rogers, AR. He is a 5th grader at Northside Elementary School.
Payton has been sick for a week thinking he was suffering with a stomach virus. After not getting better, they went back to the doctor yesterday. They tested his blood and found that his white blood cell count was extrememly high. He was rushed by ambulance to Childrens Hospital yesterday.
Today, on Thanksgiving, Payton has been diagnosed with leukemia. He is currently in ICU at Children's Hospital in Little Rock. It is aniticipated that Payton will stay at Children's Hospital for an extended period of time.
Jason Upton, Payton's dad, is a football coach and math teacher at Rogers Heritage High School. It is the hope of Jason's colleagues that money will be raised to help with travel, food, and lodging expenses to Little Rock. Not to mention the medical bills they will be facing.
