TWO BLOUNT COUNTY DEPUTIES INJURED AFTER BEING SHOT

Two Blount County Deputies were shot today while doing their job. Blount County Deputies Edward Walker and Corbin Smith have been identified as the two shot in Rockford. We as a community must do what we do best—HELP!

They both will receive excellent medical care, but while they recover, they will have needs that go above that. Every dollar raised will be split evenly between the two deputies to support them in their needs.

Sadly, we are once again faced with an officer-involved shooting. Thankfully, they both are here with us. We must ask ourselves when enough is enough. Thank you to everyone who loves, supports, and prays for our men and women in blue. May God bless your continued generosity!

Around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, BCSO responded to a domestic incident at a home in the 1100 block of Jacob Springs Boulevard. Marian O'Briant, PIO for BSCO, said that the suspect was noncompliant, and shots were fired at deputies. Two deputies were hit in the leg. Both Deputies were taken to UT Medical Center. The suspect has been taken into custody.
