Union of Coweta Firefighters
We are asking for donations for two of our brothers who have recently welcomed two beautiful daughters into our family.
Magnolia Satterfield-
Daughter of Driver Brad Satterfield.
Born with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome), a congenital heart defect called Atrioventricular Septal Defect and a moderate PDA (Patent Ductus Arteriosus). In AVSD, blood flows where it normally should not go. The blood may also have a lower-than-normal amount of oxygen, and extra blood can flow to the lungs. This extra blood being pumped into the lungs forces the heart and lungs to work harder than usual. This may lead to heart failure. Open heart surgery will occur around 4 months old. Additionally, she has already had abdominal surgery to have a feeding tube placed for failure to thrive since her heart burns more calories than typical.
Wrenlee Dorris-
Daughter of Firefighter Colton Dorris
Was born with Transposition of the Greater Arteries, (This allows her to get only 70-80 percent of her oxygenated blood to her body), also a hole between the right and left ventricles of her heart.
Wrenlee will need a stint placed in the coming week(s) and a heart surgery when she is 6-12 Months old.
We are holding a benefit luncheon for these families located at
Coweta Fire Department Apparatus Bay on November 16th, 2024 at 11am - 2pm.
Meals will Include:
Pulled Pork sandwiches, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Beans, and Desserts.
All Donations and Proceeds will be split and directly given to these families.
