Two Healing friends volunteering in Africa

Hello Everyone,

My name is Claire Louise, and Im off to Tanzania in Africa, with my super special and closest friend Danielle.

The trip Is for a very special purpose and that is to Help and volunteer through a programme called The Mighty Roar Charity. We have paid for the trip ourselves, however we wanted to do more than volunteer, we wanted to raise funds to be able to arrive in Africa and purchase essentials for the schools and hospitals for the children and patients. Danielle is going to use her experience in a local school, and myself in St Thomas hospital. Our initial idea was to purchase books, water bottles, medical essentials in the UK. This we are still going to do, however there are places when we arrive that enables us to purchase Clothes, Food and Essentials to take and donate.

WE WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP. We know all our friends around us have special hearts and we would be delighted for you all to be part of our little journey and be able to return and share what we all did as a TEAM with this fundraiser.

A little bit about Danielle and I, We met on a gym class and became instant friends both mummies with our children all the closest of friends. We both experienced great loss with our families last year which changed our lives forever, losing two very special people. We found comfort in the empathy we both possess from both our families and as we started to come out of the darkness that come's with grief we wanted to give back. We wanted to help, I had been a Nursing Student and found the company The Might Roar to attend a volunteering trip, on a beautiful Friday evening dinner with Danielle I told her about my trip. I seen the sparkle in her light up in Danielle and we decided to take the trip together to my delight everything aligned. We decided to put together our skillsets Danielle to attend the local school where her passion for teaching lays and mine in the Hospital. I have attached a picture of the resources currently over In the hospital in Tanzania, in The UK having the luxury of the NHS unfortunately not everyone is fortunate to have this as you can see.

I have attached a video from the company we are Travelling with so you can experience the beautiful volunteering trip we are about to embark on and we would love any help you could give. Even the smallest donation will go along way for us and what we can purchase to donate when we arrive.
