Two Large Pitbulls Attacked My Yorkipoo

Hello,

I come to you all because my beautiful, sassy, and lovable Yorkipoo was mauled by two muscular and sizeable pit bulls on July 27th, 2023. The person responsible for this is a police officer and he is refusing to speak with me. I have multiple witnesses, but this whole process takes time.

The two large pit bulls are not police dogs or government ordained to provide official services. The dogs were on the property of the apartment community because the officer permitted his family to stay on the property - harboring the large pit bulls- against community guidelines. The officer also endangered the community on another occasion- he had other intoxicated/riled-up officers try to kick down the apartment building door because he and another officer were previously involved, and he wanted to setup for the other person to get beat-up.

At this time, my dog/child is several surgeries in- her skin/flesh under her lower jaw was detached from the bone. Re-attachment was attempted twice... but it was not viable, and I had to tend to my baby as her flesh rotted in front of me- waiting for my next vet appointment.

The emergency hospital has been amazing, and my baby is doing better- but there are more surgeries and treatments ahead.

I am approximately $5,000 in credit card debt trying to keep up with the vet bills for my baby... I would appreciate any help - financial or legal... or just like advice on how to proceed.
