"Two Pitties" Miss M. Needs Chemo
Donation protected
Miss M is part of the duo from the blog, and Facebook page, “Two Pitties in the City ”.
Along with her brother, Mr. B., they have been documenting their adventures traveling around Chicago, meeting people, and changing perceptions of rescue and pitbull-type dogs since 2008.
In that time, she has shared her home with 6 Foster dogs, led fundraisers to help other pups in need, founded Chicago SociaBulls dog walking group, and has had several people tell her they were inspired to adopt their own pitbull-type dog after meeting/reading about her and Mr. B.
Many of her fans also know her as the pup most likely to be “unimpressed”, use her brother as a pillow, show up in costume to a parade, and think that every person she meets is the most fantastic person ever.
This past holiday weekend, Miss M suddenly collapsed and had difficulty breathing. She spent her holiday at the Pet ER.
Even while she was sick in the ER, she was still wagging her tail and trying to greet people from her cage. After just a couple of days of rest and treatment, she has rebounded to her same energetic and outgoing self.
Unfortunately, she has been diagnosed with a hermangeosarcoma on her heart. The good news is that it is small and it has not spread to any other part of her body; its only localized to her right atrium. The Cardiologist and Oncologist believe that treatment will increase the quality of her life and allow her to continue doing the things she enjoys.
Miss M. is a cherished member of the family and her mom and dad are very much hoping to extend her quality of life through chemo. They are pulling together all they can to cover her medical expenses but could use some assistance. Please consider lending a helping paw.
