Two seniors need a home this week

Hi, we're Leia and Donna, and we need funds for a safe place to stay, vehicle access, and monthly storage and phone payments, beginning this week. I need to officially begin ending my marriage to a man in whom I put my complete faith 20 years ago.* I also need to begin healing from that relationship, plus a lot of other unresolved childhood trauma. (*Not going to use this platform to spew ugliness.*)

I've always had difficulty asking for help, but this is my last option. Doing it this way feels like hitting rock bottom. You have my complete and sincere gratitude for however you're able to lend a hand. I consider every donation, share, and reading a kindness.

A little about us: Leia will be 17 this year and she's been with me her entire life. She's in great shape and still gets the zoomies when she's not confined to the tiny room we currently occupy. She's a sassy one.

I'm Donna, soon to be 66. Spent 9 years in the USAF and was an Air Force brat, too. Still very mobile and haven't entirely lost my sense of humor. I still hold out hope that there's actually a place in this world -small, quiet, safe- where Leia and I can finish our lives and be productive members of a peaceful community.
