Two Ukrainian Families Stranded in Mexico

INITIAL MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! Thanks to your generous support, the eight Ukrainian refugees that we set out to help  more than three weeks ago are now safely in the US. They were all granted parole by US Immigration and they are beginning a new life in this country.  One of them is in Brooklyn, New York, one of the families (two adults and two teenagers) is in Portland, Oregon, and the second family is in Sacramento, California.

But the mission continues!  There are still 128 Ukrainian refugees stranded in Mexico City living in the camp and waiting to obtain travel documents to come to the US.  Fortunately, thanks to your generous donations,  we are able to continue to provide support.  We will donate the remaining funds to the organization running the camp, United for Ukraine, which provides all kinds of services to the refugees: medical care, food, lodging, and aid with filling immigration forms.  You can check out their website here:  www.withua.org 

It is heartening when communities across borders come together to aid each other. Mexico has once more demonstrated its warm hospitality to people in need. The Ukrainian refugees are very grateful for this show of support.
