Two Young Girls Hurt in Bounce House
Donation protected
On May 16, 2021 while celebrating at a birthday party, these two innocent young girls were severely hurt. The bounce house they were playing in was secured with stakes and sandbags, but a dust devil was still able to pick it up and carry it about 25 feet in the air, launching it over a fence and onto a neighboring property. It continued to tumble before coming to rest 75-yards from where it was originally set up. Hitting trees and cars along the way.
6-year-old, Layla Bourne suffered a broken pelvis, femur, and fibula. While 7-year-old, Arlene Romero, suffered severe neck and back injuries (that still haven't been defined) as well as cuts to her face. They were airlifted and both girls are still recovering in the ICU of the Phoenix Children's Hospital.
We ask the community to please help these girls and their families while they are providing recovery care. Not only is it costly for parents and members of the family to travel to and from Phoenix during their Hospital stay.... these girls will have months of around the clock care during their recovery. One parent from each family has had to quit or take a leave of absence to deal with this traumatic situation. Which will further cause financial hardships. Please help support these families and lift them up with prayer or well wishes during this tremendously difficult time.
