TWO WINGS DAY CARE CENTRE NEEDS YOU
Donation protected
Dear friends and sponsors. We are asking for your support from Two Wings school, a certified Day Care centre in Iringa, southern Tanzania.
Our goal now is to grow Two wings into a certified primary school. For this the Education Authorities of Tanzania asks for a land area of 3 acres.
This is why by June 2024, we need to raise €8000 to buy the land that we need to certify Two Wings as a Primary School.
Two wings‘ vision is to provide equal education opportunities for every child regardless their ability or their economic, cultural, religious or ethnic background. Our school motto is: ‘Education for service to humanity’. See our website for more information.
Now that we have consolidated our official permission to run the Nursery, our goal is to regain the Primary school certification from the Tanzanian Government.
There are two main reasons why you should help us to raise €8000 to buy land and become an official primary school.
In Tanzania secondary education is expensive and the curriculum is delivered in English. Since the language of instruction in primary is Swahili, there is a language barrier for families who cannot afford private primary education in English as well.
Two wings‘ goal is to provide children from financially deprived families with good education in English at the nursery and primary level, to facilitate a smooth and successful transition into the secondary programmes.
Two Wings was founded in 2012 by Hamis Juma, a local teacher, and without any support from Western NGOs, financial aids or volunteering programmes. However, despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, Two Wings continued to persevere in their goals. This is not a Western, American or European project, but a Tanzanian dream initiated and run by locals.
We need to raise €8000 to acquire the land that the Tanzanian Education Authorities government requires to re-certify Two Wings as a Primary School.
THANK YOU!!!
