Reunite Faten with her family

Dear friends and compassionate souls, I reach out to you with a heavy heart on behalf of my beloved aunt Faten and her family. With your generous support, we aim to ensure their safety, provide crucial healthcare, and ultimately reunite this resilient family.

In Gaza, where the ominous shadow of war has lingered for far too long, I am Faten—a mother, an artist, and a volunteer work supervisor. My life took a harrowing turn in September 2023 when I sought medical treatment in Egypt. Fear filled me as I left my family behind in Gaza. Unfortunately, my worst nightmare unfolded, trapping me away from my loved ones for over six agonizing months, isolated in the face of relentless genocide.

Now, amidst more than 120 days of ongoing violence that shows no signs of abating, I find myself overwhelmed with helplessness and despair. As a mother of four—Omar, Rima, Rana, and Khaled—my sole wish is for their safety and an escape from this nightmarish reality. My husband and I always worked to secure them a welfare and joyful life, wishing for them the happiness and success they deserve. But all we hope for now is for them to survive.

Our family, once brimming with life and aspirations, now faces the harsh realities of genocide. Rana and Rima, with their shared love for music, Rana in her second year of college studying architecture, and Khaled in the last year of high school, find their dreams on hold, yearning for a life beyond the chaos and death that engulfs them.

Living in Gaza since October 7 has become increasingly challenging, and leaving is complicated due to restricted borders. I urgently seek help to guarantee safety for my family from the ongoing war. Specifically, my husband Ahmed, who has an amputated left leg, finds it difficult to move easily in the midst of war and displacement from one place to another. He, along with his father (83 years old) and his sister, requires medications for blood pressure and diabetes, which are currently hard to find due to the war. Your generous contribution will not only help us escape immediate danger but also assist them in obtaining the necessary medications and healthcare they need.

I wish the ongoing genocide were merely a nightmare, and with your help, we hope to awaken to a reality where I can actually breathe and be finally able to reunite with my family.
