Support Suspended TWU 555 Members
Donation protected
On November 18, 2015, TWU Local 555 held a regional union meeting in southern California to discuss options after 4.5 years in negotiations with Southwest Airlines. The company suspended almost 200 members for attending the meeting. Southwest Airlines also suspended almost 30 members for attending a similar meeting in Orlando, FL on November 20, 2015. We are soliciting contributions for our brothers and sisters who are out of work during this Christmas season while we fight this unjust discipline in the grievance process. All contributions will go towards helping our brothers and sisters stay current on rent and mortgages, and to help with basic necessities. No union member or their family should suffer because they exercised their contractual rights to attend a union meeting. An injustice for one is an injustice for all. Let’s stand united as we show our fellowship through altruism and a determined sense of purpose. We must support one another as we collectively move towards negotiating a fair and equitable agreement.
