✨ Sky Dive for Pieta House ✨

Hi there, my name’s Kyla McGowan and I’m Miss Limerick 2020. This sky dive was scheduled to take place in 2020, but obviously over COVID-19 restrictions I was forced to move it to a safer date which is the 25th of July 2021! I’m super excited to take part along with my friends and family for such a great cause. 

As you may know, Pieta’s Darkness Into Light Walks were cancelled this year (and last year) as a result of Covid. This was a substantial loss to the Charity who does so much for not only my community, but the people of Ireland in general. 

Ireland has one of the highest rates of mental illness in Europe, ranking 3 out of 36 countries. I fear that the lockdown has taken it’s toll on the people of Ireland and I want to give back. It is my aim that by creating this fundraising and working with the Charity during my time as Miss Limerick, that I can spread awareness about mental illness and get people talking. This will all help end the stigma and make friends and families much more comfortable in speaking out about their mental health. 

I’ve set the goal for €2,000 but I’m confident in the people of Limerick to get behind such a worthy cause so I aim to surpass this goal. 

I completely understand that many are not in a position to donate, but if you could be so kind as to share I would greatly appreciate it.
