Justin's Journey

Our nephew, Justin, has recently been diagnosed with a brain tumor in the occipital lobe of his brain.   This news has been heartbreaking for our family.  The doctors have recommended that Justin undergo brain surgery to remove part of the tumor, followed by six weeks of radiation and chemotherapy to hopefully shrink the rest of the tumor.  Justin will be having the surgery in early March, out of town at Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City.  During this time, his mother, Tara (our sister), will need to take approximately 2-3 months off of work from her position as a nurse to be with Justin.  Justin has Asperger's syndrome and will need Tara to help him during this time.  Unfortunately, Tara will not be paid while she is off work, and this will create a financial burden for her.  We want our sister to be able to focus on caring for Justin, and not have to worry about her finances during this time. There will be many  other financial costs involved with Justin's procedures as well,  including hotel and travel expenses, since the surgery will be out of town.  We are asking for the help of our beloved family and friends to contribute anything you are able to help our family out.  Every little bit helps, and we appreciate your generosity.  Thank you so much for taking the time to read our Go Fund Me request.
