My name is Penny Steward and I write this for Yancy because he needs help and does not know how to ask for it. Yancy has been a friend of mine and my deceased husband's for over ten years, so I knew him when he was healthy and strong, able to work, happy and mobile. In February of 2018, that all changed when he was treated for ecoli intravenously with Levaquin (a chemo drug), also used as an antibiotic and has since been taken off the market because of terrible side effects including the ones Yancy has. Today, his life is upside down because this drug destroys the mitochondria in the cells (that's the part that creates your energy), which means he can barely walk, has poor vision, no concentration or mental clarity, and consistent whole body pain that takes over his mind and body and spirit. He cannot work, cannot play, cannot do anything but hope tomorrow will be a better day.
He has found a doctor who was also disabled by this drug and devised a fairly complicated protocol to cure himself. He is the only one in this country who has had great success (92%) with people all over the world. Yancy has spoken with this man and has confidence that this may be his only solution. The protocol consists of a two-week four hour a day in office treatment to start. Then stem cell treatments and injections to curb muscle atrophy. The doc is in LA, Yancy is in Phoenix, so that means a round-trip flight, two weeks minimum of accommodations, local travel expenses, meals, etc. The treatments are approximately $35K and whatever we can raise over that amount is for expenses
Yancy has been unable to work for over five years and has been struggling just to support his family which includes two sons and a grandson. He cannot sue Big Pharma because in this country, you cannot sue generic brands which is what he was given. He has tried every avenue to get compensation for this horrendous mistake perpetrated on his life and has run into nothing but dead ends. He wants desperately to live, is only in his 50's and the last five years have been very difficult. This could be his only salvation and so we ask that you give a little or a lot -- as we all know, it adds up.
We will keep you posted when he gets to LA and what happens with this procedure. I, for one, am praying for the absolute best response from you the donor and from this solution!!! Thank you for whatever you can do to help this wonderful man.
