Urgent help for my family in Gaza

I remember it vividly, I relive it in my head every single day since the tragedy began.

It was a day like the others, it started with a warm coffee and kept on through the underground's tracks to get to work.

Suddenly the phone rang, and my sister's crying voice spelled words that have forever changed the meaning of my world, "You're brother has been killed".

Everything around me started to spin and it hasn't stopped since.

From that day, grieve is chasing me with its deadly knife.

I am Othman Abuowda, a Palestinian from Gaza, and for the past 150 days I've been living in a constant fear of loosing my loved ones, every hour of the day.

I thank God every second of my life for those who are still alive.

My name is Othman, for the past 150 days my family has been sleeping outdoors in improvised tents, with a consuming fear and bleeding hearts because of this neverending displacement.

From one tent to another, in the cold, under the bombings, without drinkable water, without food or shelter, without meds for my sick mother, and milk for my sister's newborn baby.

Since this genocide started I've been fighting with a heavy weight on my shoulders, trying to save my family, or, at least ease their pain and their fear of death.

But everything was in vain, I'm alone.

The situation is tragic, and I can't do everything on my own, I need your support to help my family and ease their suffering in this terrible moment.

The money I will collect from this GoFundMe will be addressed to medicine, food, blankets, water, every-day items that we take for granted, but that people in Palestine are being denied.

Lo ricordo perfettamente, lo rivivo nella mia testa ogni giorno, da quando è cominciata la tragedia.

Era una giornata come le altre, cominciata con una tazza di caffè e continuata tra i binari della metro per arrivare al lavoro.

All'improvviso suonò il telefono e tutto si trasformò in un inferno.

La voce in lacrime di mia sorella pronunciò parole che cancellarono tutto il senso della mia vita.

"Tuo fratello è stato assassinato."

Tutto intorno a me ha cominciato a girare per non fermarsi più.

Da quella mattina il lutto mi insegue con il suo coltello mortale.

Sono Othman, un Palestinese di Gaza e da 150 giorni vivo ogni ora con la paura di perdere i miei cari. Ogni secondo ringrazio Dio per quelli che sono ancora vivi.

Da 150 giorni la mia famiglia sta dormendo in tende di campagna improvvisate all'aria aperta, ma non liberi della paura e con il cuore sanguinante per questo dislocamento senza fine.

Da una tenda all'altra, rifugi improvvisati e precari, al gelo, sotto le bombe, senza acqua potabile, senza cibo, senza medicine per mia madre malata e senza latte per il bambina neonato di mia sorella.

Da quando è cominciata questo genocidio ho lottato con le spalle cariche di impotenza, per cercare di salvare la mia famiglia o per lo meno fare in modo che il peso della morte non li schiacciasse.

Ma è stato tutto invano. Sono solo.

La situazione è molto grave e per quanto si cerchi di cullare un bambino spaventato e affamato, da lontano non lo si potrà mai fare addormentare.

Per questo ho bisogno del vostro aiuto, per aiutare la mia famiglia e alleggerire la loro sofferenza in questo momento tragico.

I soldi che raccoglierò da questo GoFundMe verranno usati per cibo, medicine, coperte, acqua, cose di uso quotidiano che noi diamo per scontato, ma che sono state negate alla popolazione palestinese.
