Ty and Allison Johnson

For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Mariah. I am Ty’s son, Landon’s, mom! Ty is a great dad of two, Landon and Jack, and wife to Allison.
On Wednesday, June 15th, it was definitely a God thing that Allison was helping Ty mow, to try and get things done quicker with the heat. She saw Ty walk to go change the weed eater blades, but found him lying face down about 30 mins later when she went to check on him. He was airlifted to Cox around 2pm and was unresponsive but breathing until about 6:30pm, and he finally got the word “drink” out. He lost mobility of all his limbs for more than 24 hours. Neurology has unofficially diagnosed him with Functional Neurological Disorder. Something he will likely have to live with from here on out. In Functional limb weakness the symptoms are due to a problem in the way the nervous system is working but not due to permanent damage to the nervous system. Stress, heat, pain, panic attack, headache, etc can trigger it. They are thinking the heat and dehydration contributed to him having his episode. He regained mobility of his arms last night (6/16) and his legs today (6/17). Praise Jesus!!!
There are still a lot of unknowns ahead for Ty and Allison! He will have to have physical therapy to help him get back to moving and walking normal. He will not be able to drive for who knows how long, therefore somebody will have to transport him to and from therapy, many doctors appointments, etc. He is still in the hospital, hopeful to go home soon, but will still need someone with him at all times to ensure he stays stable!
With all of that being said—Allison is a hairstylist and owns her own business. She does not get paid days off or paid leave! When she does not work, she has no income. Which she has been with Ty at the hospital, and not working! Ty does have disability coming in, but that is not enough to support their family! The bills are not going to just stop, daycare for Jack still has to be paid, and the gas for multiple trips to Springfield from Seymour is adding up quickly! If you know Ty and Allison, they would never ask for help. But God has laid this on my heart to do for them! (I did get their permission!)! If you can give, any monetary donation is so much appreciated. But most of all, your prayers are needed even more. Specifically for more specific answers from the doctors, for Ty’s mental health and him being in good spirit, for Allison and the stress of finances, work, and being a mom/wife/caregiver, and for Jack & Landon who don’t fully understand what is going on and just miss and love their daddy!
Thank you all for the already given prayers and support! ❤️
