Ty and Lindy Tanis

As most of you know, Ty and Lindy Tanis are hardworking local realtors, but still manage to devote a lot of time to volunteering. Though they participate in a number of charitable and community activities, they are most passionate about being mentors to many students at Northview Public Schools. They have given many hours of their time to make sure that NPS students can thrive in their environment. While their son Kirgin was at NPS, they were also enthusiastic athletic boosters.

A lifelong wrestling fan (and former wrestler himself), Ty was refereeing youth wrestling teams less than two weeks ago. Powering through the pain from a previous hip replacement that had recently been diagnosed as needing to be replaced again, he did what Ty always does – comes through for the team. Unfortunately, he came down with strep and a few days later was rushed to the hospital. The strep was causing havoc in his body and quickly developed into sepsis, which then caused multiple organ failure and issues with his skin and limbs. He is fighting for his life. Ty is desperately in need of your prayers to heal his body from the infection. Please also continue to pray for Lindy, and their kids, Kirgin and Ciara, all of whom have been by Ty’s side since he was hospitalized.

Many of you have asked how you can help the Tanis family. Ty is receiving excellent care, but the medical bills are going to be daunting and the road to healing is going to be long and difficult. Being self-employed, Ty and Lindy don’t get paid sick time or paid days off.
