Help pay for Ty Brinneman's funeral expenses
Donazione protetta
Hello all, we are the Brinneman family. Tyler and I have been married for a little over 5 years and have three beautiful children together, and I am now also 5 months pregnant with our fourth baby! Eight weeks after celebrating finding out that we were expecting another baby, we received devastating news. Ty had been experiencing several months of chronic infections and signs of deteriorating health starting around that time in August, and we now know that he has a very rare aggressive cancer.
A chest x-ray revealed that Ty had a very large mass taking up more than half of his right lung. This mass is pressing on his vena cava and also limiting his lung capacity so he has very little energy and gets light-headed even going up the stairs or picking up the kids. His biopsy results came back inconclusive, but his cardiovascular surgeon and oncologist were convinced the mass was malignant. A deeper tissue sample was taken on November 28 with general anesthesia, resulting in Ty being hospitalized for two days. Since then he has had appointments with various oncologists, pulmonologists, and specialists multiple times a week and it is taking a toll on him and our family financially and emotionally.
I am a full-time nursing student and also work full time, and these roles are exhausting enough. But now I have had to step up even more with arranging school transportation, childcare, and all the other household duties that are normally done by Ty, since he is increasingly needing more rest, appointments, and healing. This time in our lives that should be joyous is now tainted with the unknown. Our family has had an amazing support system thus far, but we will continue to struggle financially with Ty’s added medical expenses. He can’t currently work the job he loves at Starbucks, and I will need to take extra unpaid time off work to support him during chemotherapy treatments and possible surgeries.
We appreciate all donations more than we could ever express. It is difficult for us to ask for help, but we have been blessed within our community and have so many friends wanting to help Ty get on the road to recovery hopefully sooner than later. All donations will go towards his medical bills. We have a very high deductible insurance, and most of our costs this year will be upfront before insurance will start paying their portion. We are still working on personally getting his bills paid off for 2018 as well.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and considering helping our family.
We love you all.
Aubrey
This is similar imaging to Ty's scan of the mass on his lung.
