Ty Hafan Garden Volunteers

Donation protected

By supporting the garden volunteers you will be contributing to the comfort, care and support of life-limited children, young people and their families so they can make the most of the time they have left together.

The hospice gardens, which include the Memorial Garden, have been incredibly important to families, friends and carers who use it as a way of making memories, especially as some of the children are so fragile. It provides a calm and tranquil environment to reflect, as well as a much-needed memorial to their loved ones.

The gardens also provide a space for staff to unwind and take a short break from the stress of their day job.

The Ty Hafan Garden volunteers give their time and energy for the love of maintaining the gardens. This is your chance to show them how much you appreciate their hard work and commitment.

They need bulbs, shrubs, plants, compost (peat free) tools and storage for the equipment to maintain and develop the gardens to ensure the special place continues to provide comfort and solace for the Ty Hafan families.

The suggested donation is £10 but every little helps, so feel free to give less or more.

(You can choose to make your donation publicly or anonymously).

Here is a message from one of the nurses at the Hospice:
"The garden now looks so much better, there are new flowers and plants that have been planted (looking beautiful this spring and summer) and weeds have been cleared from the new raised flower beds. I have seen two gardeners while I was out with one of the children but they were busy hauling a wheelbarrow.  Can you please extend my thanks to their hard work. It’s very much appreciated.  They are all amazing!"
