On the 21st of February 2018 Ty's world changed dramatically for a young 18 year old man with a big future as an apprentice chef, he was told he had a Brain Tumor in his pituitary gland (the centre of his brain)
long story short Ty thought he would go visit his mum Sherrie and give her the night off cooking and cooked for her and the family,
While chopping ingredients he complained to his mum about headaches and blurred vision for about 2 weeks.
They were sitting at the kitchen table and Ty was talking to his mum when all of a sunnden one eye just started moving in another direction. They thought maybe a lazy eye and decided he should probably get his eyes checked. During an appointment at the optometrist the next day he was sent to Sydney eye hospital where they ran a few more different tests which including a brain scan. While still thinking he would be just walking out with glasses he was told the news that would change his life forever.
Ty you have a brain tumor he was then rushed by ambulance to Prince of Wales Hospital where surgeons where waiting for his arrival to preform emergency surgery. Ty has gone through 2 operations first to release the pressure of fluid from his brain and the 2nd on 25/02/18 to insert a shunt and take a biopsy. They could not do the biopsy as it was too dangerous and would leave him with brain damage.
But they have no choice & can not leave it.
So next week Ty will undergo his 3rd operation and will be left with some brain damage. He is an apprentice chef & lives with a friend, now with no income and not knowing when or if he will ever return to the chopping board.
He will need a helping hand. When visiting Ty that I have known since 2years old I mentioned about Go Fund Me. He said "no thanks"☹ but he will need some financial support. Thanks to whoever has even taken the time to read this story. We all have our own stories in life and if you can not donate please don't feel bad. Just close your eyes and send him a prayer
