UPDATED:
From the Clayton Brickyard Days: (This 2023 T-Shirt will be Honoring Ty Lim with portion of the sale proceeds going to the GoFundMe) _This is so nice of them- Buy a T-Shirt at Yokes!
For many years, Ty Lim was central to the production of our Brickyard Day t-shirts.
Specifically, Ty helped us find great deals on the shirts we purchased. More importantly, his
keen eye for design and color helped ensure our shirts honored the tradition of Brickyard Day.
While Ty worked most closely with Brickyard Day Committee. everyone appreciated Ty’s patient direction which helped us keep costs down and guarantee our design’s appeal.
Our beloved Ty passed on May 8, 2023 at the age of 48 after his long battle with numerous health complications.
Every year the Brickyard Day Organizing Committee struggles to find or create a design
for our t-shirt. This year we decided to have members of Deer Park High School’s Business and
Marketing/DECA club compete to create a design. Perhaps by divine coincidence, Jovee Lim’s design was selected for Brickyard Day’s 40 th anniversary t-shirt. Ty and Jovee got to
celebrate her success together before he passed away, may also have been of divine design.
The Brickyard Day Organizing Committee congratulates, Jovee for her winning design and will be donating a portion of each sale to the Lim family go-fund-me account in memory of her father, Ty Lim.
He is truly missed by all who know and love him. Ty has touched the lives of all those that have known him, you couldn’t help but love and admire his joyful spirit and giving heart.
He will be deeply missed by his wife Jeannine (Welchly) Lim and their children Tyson, Bennet, Brooke, and Jovee.
For those of you who have reached out to the family regarding their needs at this time of grieving and reflecting, know that they appreciate your love, prayers, and support. If you would like to donate funds to support Jeannine in expenses in this next phase in life without the love of her life, and her forever husband Ty. We would like to invite you to donate what you feel comfortable with, it will be so appreciated. Updated: Jeannine wanted me to tell each of you who have donated, she thanks you and has felt true love from so many.
