Support families in Nepal during COVID
** Due to the higher fees GoFundMe was taking on my older GoFundMe-account, I had to start this same campaign underneath a new GoFundMe account. Donations made in the previous account have been sent in full to Nepal.
100% of your donation will go to Nepal. The GoFundMe-fees will be covered by MUNIMUNI.
COVID-19 and the lockdown which comes with it, is affecting millions of people, worldwide. Nepal is one of the lesser developed countries with education, sanitation and healthcare far from optimal. The lockdown in Nepal ended September 2020. Currently, there have been around 270K cases with over 1.950 deaths. Tourism is an essential element in Nepal's economy. Unfortunately, this has come to a standstill. Workers are slowly resuming some work. Poverty and hunger because of that is very present in Nepal.
Aim
With this fund, I aim to collect money for the distribution of food and supplies to the families throughout Nepal. With my online store (MUNIMUNI ) for which I work together with women organizations in Nepal, I am in close contact with multiple Fair Trade organizations and smaller NGOs. Many people from those organizations are helping with distribution to the people and families who are the neediest during these times.
Why Nepal?
I understand COVID-19 is a global problem, and everywhere people are facing difficulties, because of this. In Nepal, because of the already difficult situation and hardships resulting from the earthquake only five years before this, many Nepali people who are in severe poverty will need help and distribution of food and supplies, to not starve to death.
100% of this fundraiser goes to the women and families in Nepal, who are in most need of supplies and food.
I thank you from the bottom of my heart for every support you can give, in terms of a (small) donation or sharing this fundraiser on Social Media. Every help is welcome and needed, to support each other in these difficult times.
Thank you!
