Schools Counselling Partnership

6888 visits were made to our service last year. What will happen to those children, young people, parents, carers and children if we aren't there!!!

We are suffering from a mental health crisis and as the needs of children, young people and adults increase the funding decreases. We are still seeing the fall out of Covid and now with the cost of liviing crisis more and more people are struggling to put food on the table, pay their bills and many are starting to lose their homes. All of these pressures have an impact on our mental health.

As a result the waiting lists for mental health services are huge with waiting lists for CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service) reaching 18-24 months with adult mental health services being equally stretched.

The Schools Counselling Partnership offers free therapeutic support for our whole school community - children, young people, parents, carers and teaching staff. They work in our school along with 45 other schools across London.

With rising costs and no real terms increase in school budgets some very difficult decisions are having to be made about what they can afford to pay for which may jeopardise future service provision.

On 9t September we have a team of 20 parents, teachers and therapists walking either 25/50 or 100 km along the Thames Path with a view to raising funds to keep our service in their schools.

Please, please, please donate what you can. Every penny counts.

Thank you.
