Tyler Bartlett’s Medical Expenses

Hello, my name is Gianna Montella, and I am Tyler’s girlfriend. On Friday, December 8th, Tyler suffered from a severe and sudden brain bleed that was caused by a ruptured Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM). This rupture has caused Tyler to have significant bleeding on the left side of his brain, similar to a stroke. Due to the area of his brain where the AVM ruptured, his speech & cognitive function are currently impaired. In order for his cognitive abilities and pain to improve, we must wait what is expected to be weeks for the blood in his brain to be reabsorbed into the body. As for the AVM, he will need multiple procedures in order to correct, as well as resect the malformation, and has a long road to recovery including rehab, physical therapy, and speech therapy. Myself, his Mother (Sue), his Father (Cary) and other family members & friends are at his bedside in the Neuro ICU at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare and are caring for him around the clock with his wonderful care team here. Due to the length of his hospital stay, as well as the procedures, rehab, and therapy, we are looking at a significant medical expense that we are unable to afford. We do not want finances to impair his treatment plan and healing by any means, & ask for your generosity & graciousness during this time.
