Tyler Henken

Alden-Hebron High School alumni, Tyler Henken passed away from a tragic work accident in 2021, at the young age of 29. Tyler always gave 110% on everything he did whether it was playing sports, volunteering at the church, or being a role model. Due to Tyler's impact made in the Hebron community, to honor Tyler’s memory, the Alden-Hebron Middle School Wrestling Invitational was renamed The Tyler Henken Memorial Invitational. At this tournament, two awards were given out to athletes who displayed the qualities Tyler showed on and off the mat. These awards are named “The Tyler’s Way Award” in which coaches nominate their own student-athletes. In May of 2022, a non-profit organization named The Tyler Henken Memorial Wrestling Foundation was created in order to continue to make this tournament a successful event in remembrance of Tyler. The committee has goals of providing the school with much-needed wrestling equipment, bracket boards for the tournament, and other opportunities to make this tournament special for other athletes. We are asking for donations to help support this wonderful cause and continue Tyler’s love for wrestling. Thank you for your consideration and please feel free to share this with anyone in and out of the wrestling community.
