Tyler Matus Legacy Fund

Donation protected
The purpose of this fund is to help create new memories for Tyler's beloved nephews, and help them grow up to be good men as he cared so deeply about. Whether it be attending a Broncos or Rockies game, or help fund future educational endeavors, this fund is meant to help further Tyler's legacy as their Godfather.

Tyler Edward Matus was born November 10, 1988 to Dave and Stacey Matus. He graduated from Pomona High School in 2007 and from Metro State University with BS in Aviation Technology in 2012. Tyler was successful in everything that he did - in every role that he had, Tyler rose from entry level into leadership. What was most special about Tyler was the way he developed relationships with everyone around him - Family, Friends, Colleagues, Clients. Tyler had a great sense of empathy and often wore his heart on his sleeve. He loved fiercely, was extremely loyal and gave the best hugs. Tyler had a great work ethic and sense of personal responsibility. He was always ready with a helping hand, a shoulder to lean on or an ear to listen. He was a great influence to his two nephews, and he adored them.

He impacted everyone around him because of his genuine love for helping others. The relationship that he held in the highest, was with his nephews.  He taught them to make model rockets and launch them. He loved playing with them and spending time with them. Tyler could simultaneously play football with one nephew and soccer with the other.  As much as he loved playing, he also cared deeply that they grow up to be good men. He insisted that they show respect to their Mother and Grandma.

Tyler will be missed by his parents Dave and Stacey Matus, Arvada, Colorado; sister Santana Matus, Arvada, Colorado; nephews Brayden and Jaxson Richards, Arvada, Colorado; grandparents Gene and Sandy Coffelt, Rocky Ford, Colorado; Paul and Kip Malone from Boise, Idaho and many aunts, uncles, and cousins from all over Colorado.

We are closing in on the end of our Fundraiser for Tyler's Family.  As the organizer of the Go Fund Me Fundraiser, I, Brian Roussel (Co-Worker) will be withdrawing the funds personally and will be delivering a check for 100% of the the donations that all of his friends and family have so generously donated over the last few months.  My goal is to have this personally delivered to Tyler's family by the end of the week ending 11-20-2020.
