Tyler Miller's brain tumor
Donation protected
Hi Everyone
As many of you know in August, a CT scan of Tyler’s sinuses revealed he had a brain tumor. Tyler is 28 years old and just recently married the love of his life, Jocelyn, on October 31, 2020. Tyler and Jocelyn are high school sweethearts who were looking forward to beginning their life together as a married couple.
After multiple sinus infections and vision issues, doctors ordered a CT scan. The next day, August 18th, 2022, Tyler was notified that a brain tumor was found and an MRI soon followed. The MRI results showed, what we now know, was a baseball-sized tumor behind his left eye. Tyler was then referred to a brain surgeon down in Madison (3 hours away from where they live) to determine if the tumor could be removed safely. On September 28th, 2022, Tyler underwent surgery to have the tumor removed. Tyler
did have a small complication where the left side of his face is numb, but doctors are hopeful this is temporary. The surgery was successful as the surgeon was able to remove the majority of the tumor.
They sent the tumor to the lab to determine the type and check for signs of cancer. Unfortunately, the UW Madison lab was not able to determine this information, so it was sent to Minnesota for additional analysis. So far the doctors believe it is a soft tissue tumor, which is common in other parts of the body, but doctors have never seen it in the head. Radiation has been recommended, but details are not yet sorted. Tyler and Jocelyn are remaining positive but know they need answers as Tyler is not out of the
woods yet.
With Tyler not able to work for some time, and Jocelyn not always able to work while caring for Tyler and
taking him to appointments, this fund is being established to help Tyler and Jocelyn with expenses.
Anything you want and are comfortable contributing will go to their daily expenses, mortgage, food, bills, fuel, etc. They are still learning and working on the treatment plan with his doctors. Thank you for contributing if you can and if you aren’t able to, thank you for any prayers, love, or positive thoughts.
