Tyler Neppl’s Craniotomy Surgery (NF)
Everyone I started this medical campaign on behalf of Tyler he is my cousin. He is the son of Shaun (my cousin) and Heather Neppl. Tyler is a 15 year old young man that on November 9th, 2020 will undergo his 3rd surgery in 3 years left frontal craniotomy. His left optic nerve is being crushed by his brain tumor caused by NF. Surgeons will attach a new sphenoid wing made of polymer plastic to the back of his orbit and to the floor of his orbit. The surgery is expect to be 5 hours with 1 week hospital stay and then 2-4 week stay in Philadelphia. So this means travel expenses, like flights, hotel and food as well as mounting medical bills.
A little back ground history on Tyler. He was diagnosed with Spontaneous mutation of Neurofibromatosis (NF) as an infant. It affects 1 in 3000 people. NF attacks the body causing intense pain from tumor growth, leading to blindness, body’s disfiguration, and even death. Currently there is no cure.
Not only has Tyler endured the 2 previous surgeries and now this upcoming one he has also
endured 2 rounds of chemo therapy from his NF.
Tyler truly is the Toughest kid I know. #ENDNF #IKNOWAFIGHTER #TEAMTYLER
