Tyler Shepard Memorial Fund

Tyler Shepard was a 14 year old boy that loved his family, friends, dogs, computers and the outdoors. He played baseball and soccer when he was growing up in Rochester, NH. He helped coach Flag football with his Uncle Mike in Rochester. He loved saltine crackers covered in peanut butter and jumping on his trampoline with his little brother. He went hiking with his family, went pumpkin and apple picking, went to the Rochester Fair and other things most of us love to do.
Depression and anxiety crept into his life in the middle of Elementary School when kids make life long friends and join sports and clubs. It was not easy for Tyler and he separated from many of his childhood friends. School was stressful and not a place for socialization. Tyler was just like any of our children, our nieces and nephews or our siblings.
When someone has a broken arm or a physical problem, it is evident to people that look on that there is a problem. Depression and Anxiety often present themselves in children as rudeness or acting out. They may not fit it in groups of kids. They may be super shy or very loud. They may overreact to things. They may not get close to people easily. It is often invisible and you may never see any signs at all.
After many years of struggling, depression took young Tyler at age 14. He seemed to be doing better over the summer, but took his own life on Monday, 10/22/18. I organized this GoFundMe for Tyler's family to help with the cost of his funeral services. I can not even imagine what they are going through right now. If anyone can help with a donation to the Shepards, it will be great appreciated. A funeral is very expensive and at this time of tremendous grieving, I would love for our community to help however we can.
