Tyler Trotto Tough-Help Tyler Kick Cancer's Butt!
Donation protected
Welcome to the Trotto 4 fundraiser! Many have asked, "How can I help?" Well, here's your answer:
Hi, our names are Stacy and Dave, and we're fundraising for our chosen family, the Trotto 4- Naomi, Jim, Tyler and Mia. Naomi and Jim's son, Tyler, was diagnosed with Bcell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on March 24, 2022. Tyler is on the front end of a 30-month treatment plan. While the past six months have been challenging in many ways, Naomi and Jim have held the family together in grace and humility, but now they need our help. With countless hours spent at the hospital, along with caring for their daughter Mia, Naomi and Jim have been forced to miss work and spend money they otherwise would not. This is where we come in! Any help they receive, no matter the amount, goes a long way in making the hard days a little bit easier. Your donation will be used to offset lost wages, contribute to ever-growing medical bills, provide healthy meals for the family, gas for what seems like neverending trips to the hospital, and any unexpected expenses that might come their way throughout this journey to recovery.
Tyler's Story:
Tyler has a specific type of Leukemia called “B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.” B-Cell ALL begins in the child’s bone marrow and grows rapidly, preventing the marrow from making normal cells. The most common treatment for B-Cell ALL is Chemotherapy. This is what Tyler is currently going through. Tyler’s journey began earlier this year when Naomi and Jim noticed sudden and significant changes in his health. He was pale and not feeling like himself. Tyler felt extremely lethargic for three days and was quickly taken to the hospital for a blood panel. While he was initially being tested for Mono, it came back that he had lymphoblasts in his blood, which is a sign of early acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This specific type of cancer is the most common and most easily curable in children. It also has the best prognosis overall!
While life-changing news like this is never taken lightly, the Trottos know Tyler has the strength of a warrior and a soul that will carry him through with patience and optimism. They’ve taken the bull by the horns and will come out of this experience resilient, faithful, and closer than ever.
