Tyler Wells journey to represent USA in Budapest
Donation protected
Hi everyone! We have some exciting news - our son Tyler Wells earned a spot on Team USA to proudly represent our country at the U15 (age 15 and under) World Wrestling Championships in Budapest, Hungary June 18th-20th! Tyler dominated his weight class at the UWW U15 Freestyle Nationals earning himself the title as our national freestyle champion in his weight class and a spot on Team USA.
Tyler has been wrestling for Princeton since 1st grade. We are very proud of the programs and support in Princeton that have helped him develop his strong wrestling skills. In addition to the Princeton clubs, he trains at Hi-Flyers and at PINnacle Wrestling. His PINnacle coaches have brought Tyler to the next level and were integral in coaching him to this win!
Tyler has a true athletic gift, is incredibly hardworking, committed to success in wrestling, and has enormous heart. Tyler is also very humble and appreciative. Unfortunately, the US does not contribute any financial support for these athletes therefore, all of his travel and lodging expenses must be funded privately.
We are asking for any help you can provide in getting Tyler to Hungary (every dollar counts)! If you are able and willing do donate, we would greatly appreciate it.
Watch for him on Princeton Varsity Wrestling next year! Thank you for your support - from the bottom of our hearts we are truly grateful.
Love, Tyler, Carin (mom), and Erik (dad)
