Tyler Williamson Memorial Fund for Kaia

Tyler Williamson was a loving husband, father, son, relative, and friend. He was a beautiful soul, a bright light and social butterfly that made every person feel welcomed, loved and cared for. Growing up, he excelled in athletics and was a superior gymnast at the University of Illinois, moving on to become a coach for young gymnasts. He was a skilled craftsman and worked with his father in home development after college. He married the love of his life, Angie, at a magical ceremony in Italy in October 2017, and became a proud father to their daughter Kaia in January 2020.
His beautiful smile lit up a room and he always made people laugh and feel loved, especially Angie. Together they loved to travel and seek new adventure. They spent summers in Montana on Tyler’s family’s home fishing and relaxing on the river, and enjoyed the beaches in Hawaii while visiting Angie’s family. They even decided on their daughters name, Kaia, while on one of these trips, which was a special moment for them both.
Tyler was an avid outdoorsman who loved the wilderness. He was a skilled hunter and shooter, who had a deep respect and reverence for wildlife. He also enjoyed gardening, a pastime he inherited from the joy of watching mom, Kathy, garden. When Angie and Tyler moved into their first home in 2018, Tyler reveled in the opportunity to landscape and immediately got to work tending to their new backyard.
It is a gift that Tyler’s legacy will live on through his daughter and we want nothing more than to ensure Kaia has a smooth road ahead. She is already displaying some of the best characteristics of Tyler’s personality: she shows a great affection for animals and people, she loves to laugh and make others laugh, and she even shares his million dollar smile.
Tyler touched each and every person he met and his loss will truly be felt by all of us. Our goal as family and friends of Tyler and Angie is to keep Tyler’s spirit strong through Kaia, and make sure she is always secure. Tyler’s number one priority was family and so in his honor we’d like to make this grieving process as easy as possible for Kaia and Angie. All contributions are deeply appreciated and will help to cover funeral expenses and start a fund for Kaias future.
