Friends, family, and all of Tym’s countless connections: a call to action!
Tym Davenport was undoubtedly a character in the great American Novel.
He spent his life exploring, philosophizing, mentoring, and connecting with both people and nature, with an aim to fill his brain to the brim with knowledge and fill his soul with experience.
He pushed for a hate-free world and was an activist for the federal recognition of his tribe. He gave frequently, he loved constantly, he hugged freely, and helped whenever he could. With his wife and steadfast companion, Tammy, he fostered relationships, respect, and deep camaraderie from the forests of California to the bayou of New Orleans.
Tim's amazing adventure of a life ended abruptly on Tuesday, August 22nd while working as a Cultural Monitor for his tribe, the Southern Sierra Miwuk Nation, in Yosemite National Park. He took great pride in protecting the archeological and cultural resources of his ancestors and we know he passed doing what he loved in the place he loved most.
Tym will most certainly be sitting now on the rim of a cosmic bridge playing the blues harp and resting after many years of adventure. Please honor him by lightening the financial burden his wife and family now carry to celebrate his life and to compensate for the income he brought home.
Anything helps! Thank you in advance from Tym’s entire family and network of loved ones.
